We can’t all wear the same style swimsuits because unfortunately, we all have different shaped bodies. And as much as I would love to pull off some sexy, exotic swimsuits I see on the runways, I have to come to terms that I am not that tall, nor that skinny – so I have to find a swimsuit that fits my shape, not someone elses. Keep reading to see which swimsuit best suits your figure. We’re not all blessed with a bountiful bust, so we have to make do with whatever we have. To hide a small bust, wear swimsuits with padding (just make sure they look ok once you get wet!), ruffles to add more volume, and prints to distract from the problem area. Also, make sure the colors work in your favor too! Pair a dark bottom with a bright top to make it work. If you find that you’re spilling out everywhere, you may need to rethink your swimsuit. Did you know that swimsuits actually run 2 sizes smaller than regular clothing? So with that in mind, choose a swimsuit with a built-in bra or an underwire to avoid spillage. Stay away from bandeaus, keyhole, string bikinis and demi-bra styles. One of the most common swimsuit problems is the belly bulge. Choose a plunging-halter suit which will draw the attention away from the bulge. You can also go with something that has a pattern or some sort of detail at the mid-section to draw the eye away. You can also look for swimsuits with built-up tummy control as well as tankinis. But just stay away from the bikinis. To hide thick thighs, go for swimsuits with a high cut on the leg, which will make your legs look longer and slim your thighs. Also, stay away from shorts as they actually tend to make your thighs and butt look bigger. Instead, draw the attention away with a colorful or embelished top. Also, you can mix your bikini pieces by putting the darkest on the bottom and the lighter color on top. Exercise isn’t the only thing you have to do to get a great figure. Of course, you should always keep up with a regular exercise routine, at least for health’s sake, but there are a few fashion tricks you can pull off to make your legs appear taller and slimmer, your tummy flatter and your arms more toned. No mistery here…body shapers will obviously shape your body to look slimmer and more toned. The best brand out there is SPANX and although they cost a little more (about $100), they do the job like nothing else. Even celebs wear SPANX to tuck in their tummies. Slim Your Legs, Tummy & Arms Without the ExerciseExercise isn’t the only thing you have to do to get a great figure. Of course, you should always keep up with a regular exercise routine, at least for health’s sake, but there are a few fashion tricks you can pull off to make your legs appear taller and slimmer, your tummy flatter and your arms more toned. 1. Body Shapers No mistery here…body shapers will obviously shape your body to look slimmer and more toned. The best brand out there is SPANX and although they cost a little more (about $100), they do the job like nothing else. Even celebs wear SPANX to tuck in their tummies. 2. Lengthen Your Legs If you’re on the short side and want to add a little height, there is nothing better than pairing wide-leg pants with a pair of heels. Just make sure you pick a pair of pants that doesn’t accentuate your waist. If you’re looking to shrink your waist, or at least look like you have a smaller waist, just wear a belt right above your hips when wearing longer tops and dresses. This will give the illusion of a smaller waist since the belt cinches it at the right spot. Putting on a pair of black tights or any dark colored tights for that matter will draw the attention away from your legs, as to make them look a lot slimmer. Pair them with boots and a skirt/dress. This season you’re in luck because a lot of the tops in stores are the kind that will be banded at the waist which will hide your bulge and make it look like you have absolutely nothing! Pair it up with high-waisted pants. If you’ve been out of the gym for a while, your calves might look a little out of shape. Thankfully, you can fake slim calves by slipping on a pair of heels. You don’t have to wear super high heels to achieve this – pretty much any heel will do! Believe it or not, arm shapers exist! This quarter-sleeve arm shaper will fit smoothly and discretely under your clothes to give your arms a slim, polished look. Get it at TresSleek.com for only $26.95. Sexy, messy buns are extremely hot right now, and so easy to pull off. Perfect for bad hair days, lazy days, and pretty much any day you want! They look great during the day, at night, at work, school, whatever you want! Here’s how to pull off a messy bun. Start off by sweeping the front part of your hair to one side as to create a fuller crown area. Use your fingers along with a paddle brush to direct both sides to the back of the head. Gather your hair into a loose pony and secure with an ouchless elastic (sides and back). The base of the pony should rest in the middle of the back of the head. Push your pony up slightly to create fullness at the top of your head. Add some hairspray. Separate the pony into one inch sections, curling each section loosely. You don’t have to do this very carefully, as it is a messy bun, and you just want to get some waves. Holding the curler for about 3 seconds should be enough, depending on the hair thickness. After each section is curled, use a bobby pin to secure the curl loosely against your scalp. When pinning the curls, make sure that you pin some at the top as to form an even and balanced shape. Once you’ve finished pinning the curls, use your fingers to gently loosen up the curls, making it look messy. Finish off with a little bit of hair spray and you have a sexy, messy bun! So take out your notepads and start taking notes! These pro makeup tips will ensure that you look your very best every single time. It’s as simple as following the color rules! Brunettes know that it’s easy for their complexions to get lost and washed out since dark hair causes more contrast with their skin. Brunet absorbs a lot more light and so your skin might not get the chance to shine itself. To fix this problem, pick light-reflecting peaches and corals to brighten up your skin as well as give it a soft, warm, glow. If you’re a blonde, you know that it can be hard to wear bright or dramatic colors. Anything bold seems that much harsher on a blonde and that’s why it’s important to work with what you have. Incorporate soft, muted colors into your makeup bag such as pale pinks, nudes, and burgundy’s. Avoid going overboard as you’ll just end up looking overdone. If you’re looking for an extra kick, line your upper lids with a sparkly black liner. Redheads have a hard time picking out their colors simply because of the harsh contrast between their pale skin tone and the fiery red hair. But the same can go for those with dyed red hair too. The undertones in the hair and cosmetic colors absolutely need to match. Obviously the lighter you are, the softer the colors should be. If you have auburn highlights you should probably get rid of cool shades and go for warmer tones such as tawny, champagne and even gray. Amanda is seen here at the premiere of the movie wearing a one-shoulder turquoise Rouland Mouret draped dress. So what do you guys think of her outfit? First off, Amanda is a very pretty girl and I think this outfit makes her look a lot older than she actually is. Although the turquoise looks great on her and the dress is just stunning, I don’t think this style suits her much…maybe I would have liked to see her with her hair down or something. Either way, she looks good as always, but next time maybe she should just stick to something a little more youthful. In all, I give this look a 6/10! What do you guys think? |
